Hello everyone,
This is just a quick message to say I hope you have a wonderfully Merry Christmas surrounded by friends and family. 🙂 I wish you warmth and safety in this stormy UK weather, a Christmas dinner so good that you cannot make it off the sofa for at least 24 hours and most importantly, I hope you receive lots and lots of books! 😉
I have been quite behind on blogging lately, so fingers crossed I will be able to churn out some new posts soon. 🙂
Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas, Becks!
I thought you’d be out quaffing cider tonight. I’ve had Guinness, pizza, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones.
Awesome trees, yo.
Thanks Michael, you too. 😀
Nahh not on Christmas Eve. It’s always a quiet day at home for me, I like it that way. Cider is saved for the day itself, not to mention New Years! I hope you enjoyed your Guinness, I hate the stuff so I’m glad it’s found a friend in you. Indiana Jones and pizza are the boss, not so sure about the Star Wars though, lol!
Thanks. 🙂
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how to celebrate a holiday.
(Star Wars eps 4 – 6, I hope.)
Ohh no not you too, haha!
Nahh, I’m always happy when someone is passionate about something, even if it is Star Wars. 😛
It was The Phantom Menace I’m afraid, the only one that was on TV.
I originally saw it in the cinema and enjoyed it… last night I realised what a horror it is.
I actually got the original trilogy on DVD from my wife. I sense a marathon coming up.
I’ll be Lord of the Rings’ing it today!
Now that’s more like it! BRAVO. 🙂
Have fun with your marathon Kokkieh! I always find watching my favourite movies or TV series back to back one of the best simple pleasures in life. 🙂
Merry Christmas for tomorrow! May you receive many wonderful books and not enter into violent games of Monopoly (for some reason that always leads to family arguments when we play it).
Why thank you, fingers crossed we will both receive some books! Ohh gosh I hate Monopoly, luckily it’s never been a tradition in my family, lol. It doesn’t surprise me at all that your family finds it leads to violence, tensions always run high when it comes to money and property, even when they’re fake. 😛
Thanks for commenting, have a lovely Christmas. 😀
Welcome. 🙂
Ha! Yes, pretend money and property do tend to have an effect on people, even when they’re only present in a game. Ho hum!
Have a happy New Year too. 😀
Haha it’s so funny isn’t it that we get so competitive over things that aren’t even real. 😛
How lovely! Hope you have a very merry Christmas my dear. I’ve got my fingers crossed that I receive LOTS of books 🙂
Hahaha thank you. 😀 I love that I still get a childish feeling of apprehension at the thought of opening presents. I hope there are a few books under the tree for you too Charl, I know you wouldn’t say no! 🙂
Indiana Jones here as well, Michael! Mexican for dinner for us tomorrow. Happy Christmas!
Awwh, you guys are so in sync! As much as I love Indina Jones I’m watching The Grinch instead, it’s my go-to Christmas movie. 🙂 Mexican eh? That’s an interesting twist! Is it a one off this year or do you usually have Mexican?
We had Mexican last year, so it’s turning into a tradition for us – tacos! Next year, I think we’ll go for Chinese. 🙂
Awwh that’s cool, how very anti-establishment of you! 😛 Oooh I love to pig out on Chinese, it’s brilliant. I hope you enjoyed your Mexican. 🙂
And right back atcha, Becky!
Thanks El Guapo!
Beautiful photos and beautiful wishes, and I send the same right back at ya, especially the book wish :). Have a wonderfully happy Christmas with lots of fattening food and plenty of reading time!
Thank you, Cindy. As you have mad skillz with a camera I will take that as a huge compliment. 😛 I also find it so difficult to take pictures of the Christmas tree, they often go fuzzy and never look as good as the real thing. I don’t suppose you have you picked up any tips for photographing them over the years?
Wishing you lots of reading time too. 🙂
I was actually Googling how to take pictures of Christmas trees and lights the other day, and the one thing that everyone agrees with is that you need to use a tripod because you are taking pictures in low light. And don’t feel bad – many of mine were blurry too :).
What a coincidence. 🙂 Ahh dang, I don’t own a tripod. I have used them in the past and they are a lot of fun, plus make taking photo’s so much easier, say goodbye to camera shake, LOL. Hmm…maybe I will have to make my own. 😉
Great idea 🙂
Merry Christmas to you also, Becky. I hope you get many, many books 😀
Thank you. 🙂 Hahaa, I definitely wouldn’t turn them down! 😀
Merry Christmas Becky and you’ve included gorgeous trees in this post! I’ve been behind on blogging too – hopefully we can both catch up. (:
Thanky you muchly, Thomas! I did indeed, they were a bit blurry unfortunately as my camera always seems to have trouble picking up the dark, light and shiny all at once, but I’m glad you liked them. 🙂
Haha it’s the reality of university but I refuse to accept it, I will persevere on!
Hope you had a great Christmas, Becks. I still can’t believe you don’t like Star Wars. Isn’t that un-British or something??!! 🙂
Why hello mj, it’s lovely to see you back here on the lil’ old blog again! 🙂 I did thank you and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas too.
I know, I know I’m letting the British side down, it’s a terrible travesty. I think I kind of just missed the Star Wars generation because I never got into it. I’m not a big fan on sci-fi with any sort of aliens or spaceships as a general rule though, so that probably doesn’t help!
Hope you had a lovely Christmas Becky and that Santa brought you lots of books x
I did thanks, Emma. 🙂 Santa didn’t bring me any book but a few of my friends did! 😛
