My ‘to be read’ pile is always pretty huge. It’s a habit of mine to always buy books quicker than I can actually read them. Therefore I felt it might be helpful to you bloggers out there if you could see which books I have lined up to read, so I’ve decided to create this new tab. This also means, if there is a particular book on the list you would like me to prioritize for reading and reviewing, you can leave a comment below and I will do my best to get round to it quickly. 🙂

Haha, that’s quite a list. I’ve made a check list on my phone of paperbacks I have to read and there are 26. Btw, along for the ride by Sarah dessen also overlaps slightly. I think the best order to read them would be last chance, along for the ride then what happened to goodbye. Lol. They all end up in Colby. 🙂 just thought you’d like to know xx
Hahha yeah I know! :S Hmm your doing a lot better than me then. My pile wouldn’t be anywhere near this big if I didn’t have so much school work. 😦 I’m really looking forward to the long summer holiday this year though = TONNES OF READING 🙂

My list of books I bought is 73 but, then, I have a list from my Kobo e-reader books that were free with my device. so that’s 173 in total. I need to start reading faster or stop spending, I just can’t see either happening. Wish it wasn’t so expensive to send books overseas, I would love to do some trades with you.
Wow, that’s impressive, it even beats mine! That seems to be the problem with e-readers, there are so many free books avaliable that it’s really easy to accumilate a big tbr pile….wait….what am I talking about? Reading is never a problem, and that can only be a good thing! 😛
I need to start reading faster too, unfortunately I can only read at average pace, I wish I could read faster….there are so many great books in the world and not enough time. I’m thinking of putting a ban on myself until I read a certain amount of books on my tbr pile.
My to be read pile is absolutely tiny, wish i could stockpile on books like all of you. hope it proves to be an enjoyble pile of books to get through!!

Well, I do stockpile, but only like three of four at a time and then get through them quickly and it doesn’t help that my bank account is pretty desolate haha. Think I might have to bite the bullet and start ordering them online 😦
Also, I kind of want to read Arthur Conan Doyle’s stuff too, might wait to see what you think of it haha.
Ahh right cool. Your way is probably the better way to do it to be honest, because the problem is once you get behind you just keep seeing more books published that you want to read even more so it’s kind of a vicious cycle! 🙂
Ohh right I take it you always buy your books in store then, that’s really impressive! I must admit I succumbed to internet buying a while back because from where I live it’s quite a distance to get to an actual store so it was a waste of petrol/bus tickets etc. Hmm…well there’s always the option of the Kindle *shudders* there usually more cheap as….gulp, eBooks :S

I’m lucky (or unlucky depending how you look at it) in the fact that my bus stop is right by a bookshop, and nine times out of ten I don’t get out of uni in time to catch it and the bus is every hour….so I spend that time in the shop compiling amental lsit of what want to buy haha.
Nah, you’re way is better, if you ever find yourself without something to do you have that masive pile to fall back on haha. Omg, Kindles are haunting me, my mum wants to get one and she’s trying to convince me I should get one! I’m just like ‘seriously woman, never gonna happen’ haha 🙂

Me too! Ugh! I know the imporant thing should be that people are reading not how they read but I just……bleugh they don’t sit right with me. I want physical, tangible books!
Also, if your low on money the book depository is allowing people to download a lot of old books for free onto PDF. I hate reading off PDF but it comes in handy sometimes if I’m low on money, and they do pretty much all the Sherlock books on there. http://www.bookdepository.com/dealsAndOffers/promo/id/100 🙂
Completely, I think part of it is because they don’t smell. You know, when you’re reading and you turn a page and the smell of the book wafts upwards, it’s part of the whole exxperience and you’ll never het that with a Kindle.

I totally agree…it just makes it so clinical. I’ve been thinking of doing a post on them actually because I’ve kind of stayed silent on the whole kindle debate. But Becky will be silent no more! Something needs to be done! Mwuhuhuh.

Hi,its a very lengthy and a good list.Mine is very short but i have just started reading the novels 2 years back.Can u just tell me about how is Da Vinci Code as i am planning to buy it so i thought about hearing some good comments on it.
About sookie stackhouse novels or true blood series i found them boring and too adulty type.So i dropped reading it.I finished 2 parts of the same and i have club dead but still i dont feel like reading it.Do tell me how much u liked it and wat all.Waiting for u to visit my blog also.Thanks……..
Thank you 🙂 Sometimes it’s better to be selective though, it means you don’t get overwhelmed, so your way is good too.
The Davinci Code is actually part of a series and there are three books before it so I would need to read those first so it may take me a while to get round to it but I will see what I can do!
Thanks for the warning about the Sookie Stackhouse novels, I wasn’t too sure about reading myself but I saw a deal where the first book was avaliable for £1 so I thought I’d give it a go anyway. I will definitely let you know what I think. 🙂
I would HIGHLY recommend moving Lovely Bones, Great Expectations (Miss Havisham is perhaps my favorite character in fiction), The Night Circus, The Help, The Book Thief, The Scarlet Letter and IT to the top of your list. But that’s just because I loved them so. 🙂

That is an epic list. I haven’t read a lot of the classics on the list bc there is so much great contemporary fiction that I love more. I would highly recommend moving Eleanor & Park up your list. I would rate it as one of my best books of all time! A big call i know 🙂

I’ve definitely become a bigger fan of classics as I’ve gotten older, but not all of them are to my liking! Plus, I’m a big fan of the current books too and I definitely read more of them than classics. I don’t think I could ever read too many classics in a row without a brain meltdown. 🙂

To be honest, the Dan Brown has been on my to read list such a long time and I never feel like picking his books up. I’m not even sure I ever will! The whim from when I first bought the seems to have dissipated. I’m sure it has nothing to do with all the critiques of his work I’ve seen… 😉
