I’m currently reading The Catcher in the Rye, and when I came across this quote it instantly struck me as true, even though it was a thought that had never occurred to me before. How awesome would it be if when you finished a truly earth-shattering book, you could phone up the author and fangirl with them over their OWN book? They could answer all your questions about character motivations, possible sequels and their world building process. I get all giddy just thinking about it. 😀 Continue reading

This was one of my favourite quotes from my most recent 5 star read, The Bone Season. It’s a little ominous, and not as uplifting as the quotes I usually post, but I really love it. Well this week I packed up all of my stuff and moved out of my university accommodation, having to leave the great people I had been living with and had become great friends with behind. I’m not going to lie, it was sad, especially as these people will be living such a big distance away from me that it will be quite hard to keep in touch, but we’re going to try.
